EQUIPMENT

The troop has equipment for the existing patrols (tents, coolers, stoves, fuel canisters, pots, spatulas, soup serving spoons, etc.).  Proceeds from fundraisers will be used to purchase equipment for the Troop as needed.  Scouts will need to buy personal equipment, available through the Council store or at camping outfitters (e.g. REI or Popular).  We strongly suggest that you mark all your personal equipment with your Scout's name.

Beyond the Class A and B uniforms and the Handbook, the general categories of personal equipment a scout needs to have are backpacking and camping gear.

A list with information on the various types of backpacking and camping equipment is below.  Please contact one of the troop leaders for specific advice.
